St Brigid’s Day Celebrations in Gort
The St. Brigid’s Day celebrations in Gort, County Galway, took place on the 31st of January and marked the traditional beginning of spring in Ireland. The event featured live music, traditional dance, as well as poetry readings. A highlight of the evening was a procession through Gort led by large St. Brigid puppet, accompanied by illuminated lanterns and symbolic figures linked to Irish folklore.
